A Spirited Start: Behind the Scenes at GIN FEST 2024
Just one week ago, we were packing up our stand and saying goodbye to an unforgettable weekend at The Gin Fest 2024 in Lausanne — and what a weekend it was.
Held inside the atmospheric halls of Beaulieu, the inaugural edition of the festival brought together over 40 passionate gin producers from across Switzerland. From alpine botanicals to bold new flavour profiles, the creativity and craft on display made it clear: Swiss gin has truly arrived.
For us at Verbier Gin, it was a fantastic opportunity to be part of something fresh and exciting that put Swiss distilling talent centre stage. We had a brilliant time introducing our gin to so many curious and engaged visitors — pouring hundreds of tasting glasses, sharing our process, talking terroir and technique, and enjoying more than a few laughs with fellow distillers and gin lovers alike.
One of the most rewarding parts of the weekend was connecting with fellow producers — each bringing their own story, region, and flavour philosophy to the table. Whether it was glacier water from the Valais or botanicals handpicked in the Jura, every gin told its own story. We were proud to represent Verbier in that mix, and to contribute to the growing tapestry of Swiss craft spirits.
Special thanks to the organisers for curating such a vibrant, well-run event, and to everyone who stopped by our stand to taste, chat, or take a bottle home.
